What you can do as a TAG member

  • Work with a group of local teens in grades 7 - 12
  • Get together regularly and talk about the library
  • Help to plan Young Adult programs
  • Play games
  • Meet other teens
  • Chat
  • Generally keep library staff up-to-date in what's going on in the teen world!
  • Write a book review for the web site
  • Promote the library to other teens
  • Help with fundraisers
  • Help with programs for younger children
 
What we have done so far
  • Planned and executed Teen Read Week programs

  • Carried out fund raisers for teen programming

  • Helped librarians with Summer Reading Programs

  • Helped with Teen Tech Week Display

  • Helped librarians with various library tasks

  • Organized Book Discussion Groups

  • Suggested changes to the Teen Space website that have been applied


When we meet
The PPL TAG meets on the last Friday of the month from 3:30 - 4:30 in the library.

TAG MISSION STATEMENT
The Peru Public Library Teen Advisory Group is committed to providing teens
 with materials, programs, and information they need to help them meet
lifelong learning, cultural and recreational needs. The Teen Advisory Group
encourages teen involvement in the library through creative original programming,
volunteering, and promoting the library in the community.
