    Join Susan Glassman from the Illinois Extention as she shares:

    The Solo Chef: Cooking for One or Two

    Many people are cooking for one or two nowadays, but how do you not buy too much and enjoy cooking a
    meal without all the leftovers?

    Learn some new ways to enjoy cooking again, curb the leftovers, and gain a small change for better health.

    Take home some recipes for one or two people and taste our delicious recipe sample.

    TAG Members:

    • Encourage teen involvement in the library, promote and encourage reading by teens
    • Take a leadership role in the planning and hosting of teen programs, services, and events
    • Advise the Program Librarian on teen interests and trends
    • Advise book choice for teens on what they will need for homework and enjoyment

    The Peru Library TAG meets on the last Friday of the month at 3:30. Snacks are provided.

    Join our adult writers club on the 4th Monday of every month at 3 pm in the Teen Area.  

    Have a novel or set of poems you've never gotten around to finishing? For anyone over the age of 18, join fellow authors to workshop your written work.

    Work together to give your stories a perfect polish.

  • Brick Builder's Club for Kids 5-12 years Siblings Welcome

    Come for an evening of brick building with Lego's® on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
    There is no fee to be in this club.

    Builders 5-12 years enjoy themed building challenges each session or can build their own designs. Kids build from 6-6:45 pm and each builder can present his/her design to the club members beginning at 6:45 pm.

    Lego® bricks are provided. Please do not bring Lego® bricks or figures from home. Lego designs remain on display for at least 1 week. Call 815-223-0229 ext. 214 to make an initial registration. Walk-ins welcome.
