TAG Members:

• Take a leadership role in the planning and hosting of teen programs, services, and events
• Advise the Program Librarian on teen interests and trends
• Advise book choice for teens on what they will need for homework and enjoyment

The Peru Library TAG meets on the last Friday of the month at 3:30. Snacks are provided.

An informal weekly gathering of knitters, crocheters and others at the Peru Library. Doesn't matter if you are beginner or master, all are welcome.  Takes place in the Adult Library- teen area the month of February.

Books and Babies will take place in the Youth library.  For ages 6 weeks to 24 months. 

We will meet every Monday. Activity or craft will follow Storytime!

Come for an evening of brick building with Lego's® on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
There is no fee to be in this club.

Builders 5-12 years enjoy themed building challenges each session or can build their own designs. Kids build from 6-6:45 pm and each builder can present his/her design to the club members beginning at 6:45 pm.

Lego® bricks are provided. Please do not bring Lego® bricks or figures from home. Lego designs remain on display for at least 1 week. Call 815-223-0229 ext. 214 to make an initial registration. Walk-ins welcome.

The Teen Anime Manga Club meets at 3:30 on the 2nd Friday of the month in the lower level of the library. Join us for a night filled with all things Anime.  New members are always welcome.

Drop by between 10 and 12 for coloring, coffee, and companionship the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month. Coffee, coloring sheets, and colored pens and pencils will be provided. Color Me Calm is held in the library's meeting room on the lower level. This program is for adults only.

In your 20s or 30s and love to read? Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:30-7:30 pm to discuss the book of the month. All are welcome to attend.

Supporting Loved Ones with Alzheimer’s Disease


Susan Frick, MSW, LSW, of the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, will join us to speak about caring for loved ones with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Frick is the director of Without Warning, a support program for individuals and families who live with younger onset Alzheimer’s. She will discuss communication as caregivers, challenges of daily living and other topics important to caregivers. Participants are invited to ask questions after the presentation.  Share a loved one’s journey or listen to how others deal with theirs.
