  • Brick Builder's Club

    April 2, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

    Come for an evening of brick building with Lego's® on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.There is no fee to be in this club.Builders 5-12 years enjoy themed building challenges each session or can build their own designs. Kids build from 6-6:45 pm and each builder can present his/her design to the club members beginning at 6:45 pm.Lego® bricks are provided. Please do not bring Lego® bricks or figures from home. Lego designs remain on display for at least 1 week. Call 815-223-0229 ext. 214 to make an initial registration. Walk-ins welcome.In case of inclement weather, call the library or visit our Facebook page for updates.

    Are you ready for it? 

    This Teen Game Night is going to take the Eras Tour with Taylor Swift.  So grab a Swifty and head on over to the library.  You must be ages 12-18.  It will be a night of music, the Eras Movie, dancing, friendship bracelets, crafts, and video games! You can even dress for it.

  • READY, SET, ECLIPSE!

    April 6, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

    The Peru Public Library will host NASA Solar System Ambassador, and LaSalle resident, Scott Pellican, who will help attendees most safely and effectively plan and maximize their minutes in the darkness.

    The presentation's primary focus will be on safety. The library will distribute solar viewing glasses at the event. Additionally, Pellican will map out the eclipse path, briefly discuss eclipse history and science, and highlight NASA's "Big Year For The Sun".

    Marianne’s passion for health and wellness goes back several years. Her interest in nutrition
    was piqued in 2017, but it wasn’t until 2021 that she dove into researching the topic.
    She decided to jump into formal training at the end of 2022, studying nutritional therapy
    through the Nutritional Therapy Association from February to November 2023. She is passionate
    about helping people get healthy and educating clients about nutrition.

    The Peru Library TAG meets on the last Friday of the month at 3:30. Snacks are provided.
