    Help library staff choose books teens will need for homework and for enjoyment

    The Peru Library TAG meets on the last Friday of the month at 3:30. Snacks are provided.

  • Game On 17 & Up

    Peru Public Library will host a game night for ages 17 an older. The library has available gaming consoles (Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStations) with a variety of video games, 5 gaming screens, 10 PCs for interactive game play, and classic board and card games. Participants are welcome to bring their own games to play in addition to the games offered by the library.

  • Daycation - Stitches and Chicago Yarn Crawl

    Stitches and Chicago Yarn Crawl leaving at 8:00 am. Fiber enthusiasts travel to the Schaumburg Renaissance Hotel for the Stitches Midwest marketplace. We then travel to two or more stops on the Chicagoland Yarn Crawl and for lunch. Cost $57 per person.

    Get Your Game On! We’ve got XBox 360, PS2, PS3, Wii, 5 Gaming Screens, 10 PCs for Interactive Game Play, Board Games, Super Smash Bros, Just Dance, DDR, Guitar Hero. Bring a teen rated game, we’ll play it! Teen Game Night is held on the 1st Friday of every month, is open to ages 12-18, and is a free program.

    We film & take photos and set up gaming & audio visual equipment at teen library events. We also assist with the library’s teen facebook page, help create flyers, and create skits for promotional library videos. Snacks are always provided.
    We meet twice a month on Mondays in the library meeting room from 3:30 – 4:45. New members are always welcome.

Coffee, coloring sheets, and colored pens and pencils will be provided. Color Me Calm is held in the library's meeting room on the lower level. This program is for adults only.

  • Live Performance by the Butler Family

    The library continues as a site for the 2016 Peru Maud Powell Arts Celebration, with a Live Performance by the Butler Family. The trio performs a combination of classic and contemporary pieces. Aelsa, Elliott, and Robin Butler perform on Violin, Cello, and Flute respectively.
