    Miss coloring? Listen to your inner child and relax. Drop by between 10 and 12 for coloring, coffee and companionship the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month. Coffee, coloring sheets, and colored pens and pencils will be provided. Color Me Calm is held in the library's meeting room on the lower level. This program is for adults only.

  • Bounces and Tickles for Babies Birth to 1 Year

    Join us for lap bounces, lifts, songs, and finger plays designed to stimulate babies birth to 12 months. Fun ways to use music, shakers, scarves, and books with babies are demonstrated.   • Doggie Tales

    Ms. Julie and Ruby are back! Help your child gain confidence in reading by reading to Ruby, a certified therapy dog. Kids read to Ruby for 5-10 minutes. Non-readers may also participate by telling Ruby a story from pictures. Stay after reading and Ruby will do tricks with you. Register by calling 815-223-0229 ext. 5. An adult must attend with the child.

  • Rules of the Road - Illinois Secretary of State

    Scott explains the Rules of the Road. The Rules of the Road Review Course is designed to give drivers – especially senior citizens and persons with disabilities – the knowledge and confidence needed to renew or obtain a driver's license. The review course combines an explanation of the driving exam with a practice written exam.

  • Chapter Book Explores Book Club

    Participants should be ready to read or already reading chapter books. Kids explore different chapter book series and hands on activity each week. Readers should bring a favorite chapter book they have read to the first meeting. Each reader will have an opportunity to tell what they liked about the book! Refreshments will be provided.     TAG Members:
    Encourage teen involvement in the library
    Promote and encourage reading by teens
    Take a leadership role in the planning and hosting of teen programs, services, and events
    Advise the library on teen interests and trends
    Help library staff choose books teens will need for homework and for enjoyment

    The Peru Library TAG meets on the last Friday of the month at 3:30. Snacks are provided.
