The Westclox Corporation was a significant part of the Peru and Illinois Valley culture for nearly 100 years. After the January 2012 fires, area libraries collected Westclox stories and memories from former employees and area residents. These stories, Remembering Westclox, are available from the Peru Public Library and other Illinois Valley libraries, or download a copy from the comfort of home.
Printed from 1913 to 1966, the Tick-Talk newsletter chronicled staff activities from marriages, births, deaths, vacations, promotions and more. Library volunteers indexed the Westclox personnel newsletter, Tick-Talk for quick access to family names.
