The Afternoon Book Club meets on the third Thursday of the Month at 2 pm.  During the remodel, the group will meet in the community room at the Peru Police Department.   Come join the discussion and find some new reads along the way.  Everyone is welcome.  Contact Marti Pack at 815-223-0229 or [email protected],  if you have any questions.

An informal weekly gathering of knitters, crocheters and others at the Peru Library. Doesn't matter if you are beginner or master, all are welcome.  Takes place in the Adult Library- teen area the month of February.

Books and Babies will take place in the Youth library.  For ages 6 weeks to 24 months. 

We will meet every Monday. Activity or craft will follow Storytime!

Miss coloring? Listen to your inner child and relax. Drop by between 10 and 12 for coloring, coffee and companionship the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month. Coffee, coloring sheets, and colored pens and pencils will be provided. Color Me Calm is held in the library's meeting room on the lower level. This program is for adults only.

TAG Members:

• Encourage teen involvement in the library, promote and encourage reading by teens
• Take a leadership role in the planning and hosting of teen programs, services, and events
• Advise the Program Librarian on teen interests and trends
• Advise book choice for teens on what they will need for homework and enjoyment

The Peru Library TAG meets on the last Friday of the month at 3:30. Snacks are provided.

Are you in the age range of 12-18?  Join us for Teen Game Night.  It's a night to meet new friends, and play all games!

Come for an evening of brick building with Lego's® on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
There is no fee to be in this club.

Builders 5-12 years enjoy themed building challenges each session or can build their own designs. Kids build from 6-6:45 pm and each builder can present his/her design to the club members beginning at 6:45 pm.

Lego® bricks are provided. Please do not bring Lego® bricks or figures from home. Lego designs remain on display for at least 1 week. Call 815-223-0229 ext. 214 to make an initial registration. Walk-ins welcome.

This peer support group is for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and bipolar symptoms in a safe, supportive environment created to listen and learn together to navigate their diagnosis with others doing the same.

Cosplay meetup with snacks, drinks, games, crafts and loads of fun!  

Note: this party will last an extra hour due to all of the festivities.
