Library Reopens

We are reopening the library on Monday, July 6th. With the region entering Phase 4 of the Recover Illinois plan, the library is thrilled to reopen to our patrons.

Our hours will be shorter than the pre-pandemic hours, but still 6 days a week.

  • Monday – Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm
  • Friday from 10 am to 4 pm
  • Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm

The library’s collection is open for browsing. To allow for social distancing, the New books for our adult collection have been shifted into the main reading area. The Youth and Teen collections have also adjusted their New book displays. To help maintain social distancing we have six computers available for 1-hour per person per day.

You are asked to mask while visiting the library. If you are feeling ill, please visit the library on another day, or ask for curbside delivery.

In keeping with the guidelines for Phase 4, our in-person programming remains on hiatus. However, join our Summer Reading Challenge – In This Together! – for fun activities and prizes for reading.

Lobby Service remains in place until 2pm on Friday, July 3rd.
