Other Services

Along with our traditional services of lending books, hotspots, dvd’s, etc. and providing programs, we have other services for our patrons. Not sure if we provide a service? Just ask.

Coffee Bar
Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea from the Friends of the Peru Library’s coffee bar.

Computers
We have 9 computers for you available for 1 hour with a daily maximum of 3 hours. Need additional time? Just ask and we will try to accommodate you. Printing fees are .20 cents per black & white copy and $1 per color copy. Did you know you can also print from your own laptop, mobile device, or tablet by installing the Princh app for iOS/Android. Want to print from a location other than our library, no problem with Princh. For details, contact the library. Copies must be paid for when presenting for pick up of your document.

Wifi
We offer unsecured WiFi for you. WiFi is accessible on both floors, in the study rooms and the meeting room. The library’s WiFi is free.

Device Chargers
In addition to the study tables’ outlets, we have rapid chargers at the study tables and the adult computers.  If your tablet or phone battery is nearly gone, use our charging stations to recharge your batteries.

eNewsletter
We distribute a monthly electronic newsletter highlighting upcoming events and various services. Contact [email protected] or complete this form to subscribe to the newsletter. Back issues are available.

Faxing
The library provides faxing service. We fax to 800 toll-free numbers without charge. Faxes to regular numbers are $1 per page whether sending or receiving.

Hotspot
We lend Hotspots to Peru library card holders. The 4 Hotspots circulate for 7 days per checkout. Stop by the library for more information.

Laminating
For $1.00 per foot, the library laminates cards, photographs, and other flat items. While every effort is made to carefully laminate items, the library is not responsible if damage does occur. To fit through the laminating machine the item’s maximum width is 25 inches. The library reserves the right to refuse to laminate if there are concerns about damaging the item

Meeting Room
Although small, the library has a meeting room reservable by groups and organizations. Programs held in our meeting must be free and open to the public. To reserve the meeting room, please send the completed meeting room application to Emily Schaub at [email protected] or drop it off at the library.

Microfilm Reader/Printer
Use our Microfilm machine to view our reels of newspaper and census records. Copies are .20 cents per page.

Photocopying
We have a black & white photocopier printing on regular 8.5×11 or legal 11×14 sized paper. Copies can be scanned to or printed from a USB drive. We do not have email capabilities with our copier. Cost per copy is .20 cents. Our coin-op accepts and makes change for coins and $1 dollar bills.
